I2R Nanowave
Inc. Announces New Family of Synthesized Sources
New Direct Digital Synthesis of High Performance S-,
C-, and X-band Sources for Radar Applications
Philadelphia, PA: Today at the IEEE RADAR 2016 Conference, I2R Nanowave Inc.,
a leading designer and manufacturer of advanced microwave, millimeter-wave and
electro-optic components and sub-systems, is announcing new line of Direct
Digital Synthesizers (DDS). Quickly configurable to any frequency range, these
units can be ordered in advance and frequencies finalized at a later date. These
low phase noise DDS provide fast frequency switching and a high resolution of
1Hz. Built with Nanowave’s HMIC technology and tested to MIL-PRF-38534, these
units exhibit high reliability, low vibration sensitivity, and IP67
environmental performance.
The INWOG-2G3-3G6-18 is an S-band source that can be used to cover any
200MHz band between 2.3GHz and 3.66GHz. It exhibits better than -120dBc/Hz
phase noise at 1kHz offset. The INWOG-5G25-5G93-17 is a C-band source covering
any 200MHz band between 5.25GHz to 5.925GHz. Phase noise at 1kHz offset is
better than -115dBc/Hz. Lastly, the INWOG-8G50-10G55-17 covers 200MHz bands in
the X-band between 8.5GHz and 10.55GHz. Phase noise at X-band is better than
-110dBc/Hz.
These sources are built with a proprietary platform design that allows
frequency band selection to occur with the change of a single drop-in filter.
Existing units can easily be re-banded to new frequency ranges if needed.
Overall performance of 200nS switching speeds and 60dBc spurious signal levels
ensure the units will perform perfectly in the most demanding systems.
